About Us

Joseph Kent Construction, LLC was started in 2005 by Marlon Peterson and Jeff Dawdy after working together as Superintendent and Project Manager respectively in the Kansas City area.

On our second project together we were charged with the construction of a middle school in Liberty MO that was behind schedule due to some site and utility issues from a previous contract. This was a 144,000 Square Foot elementary school that was required to open less than 10 months after we were able to take over the site and begin construction.

By creating a partnering relationship with the Owner, Architect the General Contractor (us) along with the Subcontractors and Vendors we were able to expedite many of the processes and dispense of some of the red tape normally associated with a project of this nature. Our primary focus was the construction itself and not the posturing of relationships and fault.

We were able to open the school on time and the school district invited the core team to a congratulatory dinner - not a typical experience.

With Joseph Kent Construction we are trying to emulate and improve on our previous success stories and create a positive working enviroment for all players involved.
